#DoingOurBit – new website for the new county council campaign

We have launched a brand new website for the county council’s newest initative – #DoingOurBit.

www.doingourbit.info directs users to a mini-site that is based on our main website infrastructure, utilising the vast capabilities of our content management system, Contensis.

#DoingOurBit is all about people from all over Staffordshire to help get involved in making our county a better place to live.

“We can make Staffordshire an even better place to live and work, despite far less money coming from government.

It means working together differently, where the county council prioritises its legal duties and cares for the most vulnerable people in our communities, and everyone does one more thing to help themselves and those around them.”

The dedicated website aims to inspire people to help do one more thing to help themselves, and provides the functionality for people to pledge to do something from three different categories: health and wellbeing; clean, green, and safe; and giving someone a hand. Users can also find information on getting funding to support their ‘one extra thing’, as well as volunteering opportunities that are available. There’s also integration with our ‘Get Alerts’ system, powered by GovDelivery, to allow users to register their interest and receive timely updates from the county council’s communications team.

Even though the site is built on the main website infrastructure, #DoingOurBit has it’s own unique look and feel which ties in with the wider campaign branding. There are short films in the different sections, adding to the aesthetics of the site.

Take a look at the site, and maybe even sign up to join us in #DoingOurBit!
