MyStaffs App

Staffordshire County Council, along with the district and borough councils, are celebrating the success of the myStaffs app as registrations have reached more than 20,000.

The app was created by the county council in partnership with the district and borough councils of Stafford, Staffordshire Moorlands, Staffordshire South, East Staffordshire, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Lichfield, Cannock Case, and Tamworth.

The app, which is available for free on Google Play and the App Store, was released two years ago, and since then residents have been using the technology to access all of the council services in one place, rather than having to trawl through Staffordshire and district/borough council pages to find out about local services.

Richard Lancaster, Public Sector Partnership Manager, said:

The public generally don't differentiate between borough/district and county services. They don't want to contact the county council only to be told the service they are enquiring about is provided by the district or borough, and now they don't have to.

Registrations and usage of the app rose throughout the summer holidays with features and in-app services appealing to parents looking for local children's entertainment and term dates, holiday makers checking for roadworks and delays, and other daily services while on the go.
